Welcome to the Wellness Committee Website.
The Marblehead Public Schools Wellness Policy was approved by the School Committee in June 2006. The Wellness Committee, an advisory committee reporting to the Superintendent, has the overall goal of improving the nutrition and physical activity of Marblehead students. Using the Wellness Policy as a guideline, they have assessed current status and made recommendations for improvement in the following areas:
- vending
- outside food: celebrations, performances, fundraising
- physical activity: walking or biking to school
- nutrition education in the classroom
- food service
- physical education
- school gardens
